Friday- May 9 - We saw a juvenile Humpback Whale on our tour on Saturday along with three Gray Whales. On Sunday we saw the Gray Whales but were unable to find the Humpback. This is an excellent time of year for Whale sightings in the Seattle area. The weather is supposed to be nice for the weekend. Sunday we are full on the 10:am trip and are taking reservations for a 3:00 pm trip which is great as the light is so good for photos later in the evening.
Call toll free 1-877-560-5711 to confirm a reservation. OR wallkups are welcome at time of departure but are limited to space available. Tours depart from Pier 66 in Seattle just north of the SEATTLE AQUARIUM and next to Anthony's Restaurant on the Seattle waterfront. Schedule is subject to change, so call ahead for current dates. We sometimes do late afternoon trips with enough passengers.

Salish Sea Charters has year-round wildlife and whale watching tours departing from downtown Seattle, Pier 66, on the waterfront. Summertime can be a great time to see Transient Orcas, as the Resident Orcas move into the San Juan Islands, the Transient Orcas keep their distance and are often seen around Seattle in the summer months. Minke whales are also quite common in the Summer. Spring is primetime for Gray whales as they enter our waters to feed, while on their amazing migration from Baja California to Alaska. october is a great time to see Humpback whales. In the Winter months it is common for the Resident Orcas to be in the Seattle waters and often we are the only boat watching them!
We will do our best to find as much wildlife as possible and ensure you have a wonderful time. Our Captain and Naturalist are former Seattle tour guides, so you'll receive a wealth of information on Seattle's history while on an educational ecotour! You won't find another trip quite like ours. Join us for the only wildlife tour in downtown Seattle! We are the only tour from the Seattle waterfront that will go out and search for wildlife. Our captains and naturalists are very familiar with the Seattle area, the history, the wildlife and where to find it. If we have reports of whales in our area that's where we will go. We will be always on the alert for whales and our crew are very familiar with what to look for and if the whales are here, we will find them. If we have no reports we will give you our best wildlife tour and will see sea lions, seals, harbor porpoise, dalls porpoise, eagles, lots of sea birds, sea ducks, jelly fish and all kinds of sea life from the Puget Sound. Our tours are very focused on the environment and our impact on it. We want to give you all the information we can in the little time we spend with you. Please feel free to ask us any questions you have. We enjoy every trip as much as you will. |
