Three new Orca calves were born in late September and November of 2002. On January 3, 2004 we saw a new calf in J Pod also. Below are some photos taken over the past few years of these new calves. The new calves in 2002 were designated K35, L101 and L102.The new calf in 2004 was designated J38. The photos of L102 are in commemoration. L102 has not been seen since Dec.3, 2003 and is probably gone.

It is important to know that responsible whale watch operators follow guidelines that are set to protect the whales by keeping a safe operating distance from the whales. Any and all photos featured on our site are taken from motionless vessels. The whales will often venture close to the vessel and allow for some excellent photo opportunities. For more photos and iMovies check-out the OrcaCam™ website.
